TRAIL SYSTEM HOURS & Guidelines

The Missoula County Fairgrounds trail system is open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Pets are welcome as long as they are on a leash and any waste is removed. Park users are welcome to picnic. (During the Western Montana Fair, alcohol is not permitted when picnicking.) Water fill stations and recycling receptacles are located along the trail for your convenience. Restrooms are reserved for events and not available on a daily basis. For security reasons, the grounds are under video surveillance.

This remarkable property has served Missoula for over a century. Thanks to generous contributions from people like you, revitalization is underway, creating a modern gathering space that honors our heritage and promotes agricultural education. Your care and consideration ensure the fairground serves our community for another hundred years. Please join us stewards of this historic property by adhering to the following guidelines:

  • Pets on leash, remove waste

  • Skateboard on asphalt trails only

  • Smoking is prohibited

  • Use recycling receptacles

  • Refrain from disturbing events

  • Permit required to camp

  • Park/load in designated zones

  • Security cameras in use

  • Vehicles prohibited on trails and plazas

  • Weapons prohibited without valid concealed weapons permit
